HOW TO FIND YOUR SKIN TYPE 

Why should you know your skin type?
 

The environment and our genes both have an impact on our skin. Understanding your skin type can help you choose products that are effective rather than irritate your skin.

5 primary types of skin:

 Remember that each individual's skin is unique. There is no "one size fits all" to achieve healthy-looking skin. However, a few characteristics can help determine "What is my skin type?"

Normal skin is balanced, not too dry or oily. Usually have small pores and a smooth skin texture. Less prone to sensitivity or blemishes.

Dry skin produces fewer natural oils than other skin types. But the skin is likely to dull, rough, flaky, and even scaly. It feels tight/less elastic and becomes noticeably dehydrated.

Oily skin produces excess sebum that causes the skin to appear shiny and feel greasy. More prone to enlarged pores, blackheads, and whiteheads.

Combination skin includes areas that are dry as well as oily. With the T-zone usually be oily and the cheeks are either dry or normal.

Sensitive skin, you could possibly have oily, dry, or normal sensitive skin. Regardless of what skin type you have if it appears red, or usually has a burning, itching, or dryness when you use a certain product, you have sensitive skin. These symptoms are triggered by certain ingredients like artificial fragrances, and dyes, as well as environmental factors.
